Performing since a young age, Courtney started off as a karaoke queen and then found her way onto the stage. She is now a full time musician, teaching musical theatre and private singing lessons during the week, and gigging on the weekends, while also studying to be a teachers aide.
Her musical theatre debut was Hairspray with The Regal’s (2015). She then moved to behind the scenes work when she became Musical Director for Reefer Madness with Rockdale Musical Society (2016). In 2018 she performed in Engadine’s We Will Rock You - which she claims was the most challenging performance yet, being thrown in to a lead role the day of opening night. In 2018 she also found herself in her first lead role playing Sherrie for Regal’s Rock Of Ages. Courtney is also now directing The Regal’s next junior show - Cats Abridged Edition (May 2019).
Courtney has been teaching since 2011, with private/group singing lessons, musical theatre classes, acting workshops and forming her own business in 2013. Courtney has completed several cruise ship contracts, toured Australia with her original band, and continues to perform on a regular basis, at corporate functions, events around Australia and in theatre.
Courtney crafted BC Performing Arts to offer a range of services in entertainment, an teaching will continue to be a strong focus of BC Performing Arts, as she aims to inspire and build confidence and knowledge in young performers.
Darcy has grown up performing in musicals, playing roles including ‘Tess Tyler’ in Camp Rock 2, ‘Glinda’ in Wicked, and ‘Elle Woods’ in Legally Blonde, just to name a few. She then studied a Diploma or Music Theatre at Sydney’s prestigious school ‘Brent Street’ in 2016 which took her overseas to New York and Los Angeles to continue her training and was then accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Arts. Darcy is now furthering her studies with a Bachelor or Entertainment Business Management at JMC and purses her love for teaching kids music theatre and loves watching her students grow and shine on stage.
Throughout my high school years I performed the lead role in a variety of musicals which ignited my passion for musical theatre with the Australian Institute of Music being an ideal setting to harness that passion whilst achieving a CERT II in Music and completing my HSC. Simultaneously I used my performing skills and dance qualifications (RAD, FATD) to launch into a career of teaching singing lessons and all genres of dance. I was thrilled to be accepted into ED5 where I completed a Diploma of Musical Theatre. During this period I enjoyed working closely with vocal trainers Sheena Crouch and Philip Filo.
Whilst in my final year at ED5 I accepted a contract with Universal Studios Japan performing as Lead Singer and Actress in multiple theatre shows and parades daily. Although tempted to continue on with a second contract with USJ, I decided that my passion for performance was equally met with a passion to see the world. After a successful audition I joined the world tour of the Internationally acclaimed show ‘Burn The Floor’ performing as their Lead Female Vocalist. This opportunity has seen me perform Nationally within Australia and Internationally in South Africa, Japan, and China as well as on board the Norwegian Jewel. I have since travelled to New York City to further my education and performance experience and studied intensively at Broadway Dance Centre.
Justin has been working in the Industry since 2009 as a dancer and entertainer. Having started his training later in life at 10 years old his passion quickly grew and he wanted to accelerate his training. At the age of 18, Justin then moved to China to perform on his first contract as a commercial dancer. Working 6 nights a week with international artists across 6 months before returning to Australia to complete a 2 year Diploma in Musical Theatre training at ed5international. Justin has had the opportunity to work along side a number of artists including Kelly Rowland, Tina Arena, Marcia Hines, Leo Sayer, Deborah Cox, Rhonda Burchmore and more.
After completing full time Justin then joined the cast of Bring It On the Musical in the Australian premiere in the role of “Steven”. Since 2014 Justin has been working in Sydney’s resident Cabaret Show on board Sydney Showboats as one of the lead male dancers. In 2016, Justin then moved to Paris to dance at the world famous Moulin Rouge alongside over 60 international dancers and artists and perform the French Can Can across 12 shows a week. Whilst in Paris, Justin then pursued a job at Disneyland and performed for over 43 000 people on the day of 25th Anniversary at Euro Disney.
